NZ Occupational Health Services
Our programs aim to close the gap between workers and employers by engaging with injury prevention solutions through education, treatment and consultation with all levels of an organisation.
We are your first line of defence for injury management as we proactively identify potential risks of injury, provide early treatment and implement safety initiatives to manage risk.
Onsite Injury Prevention is key to managing the musculoskeletal health of your workers. At its core, injury prevention mitigates risk in the workplace through a unique combination of proactive initiatives and hands-on treatment by one of our accredited and trained physiotherapists onsite.
By having an onsite injury prevention program, your workers gain access to treatment at the earliest onset of injury, therefore effectively reducing the risk of long term sick leave, chronic or degenerative injuries, ACC claims and levies to name a few. Most importantly, having an effective program keeps your workers happy, healthy and safe.
At Bodycare we want to add value to our clients bottom line and deliver return on investment. We do so by reducing ACC claims caused by musculoskeletal injuries, reducing the frequency and length of claims, resulting in lower levies, reducing productivity costs by early intervention treatment along with maintaining staff retention.
There are a range of risks at work that can affect a workers mental health and can include, but not limited to, unacceptable work interactions, stress, fatigue, anxiety, depression and musculoskeletal disorders. Bodycare’s range of Mental Health courses and support programs can support and assist with the reduction of these risks and complement your existing EAP.
These are injuries or conditions of the Musculoskeletal system that occur when work demands lead or contribute to the discomfort, pain or injury to the worker.
There are many work related risk factors that can contribute to musculoskeletal injuries and they can work alone or together. Risk factors to consider are the physical nature of the work task and the surroundings, task duration and fatigue.
Many workers are required to lift, push, pull or carry objects or assume awkward and unbalanced postures during their working day, which can lead to pain and discomfort. Training workers in the correct techniques for manual handling tasks is key to preventing injuries occurring. Contact us for more information regarding our Manual Handling programs.
Bodycare can support you and the wider team with your health and safety procedures in the workplace and increase worker engagement by becoming part of your team. Safety is best practised and delivered when we are face to face as it develops trust, enables positive conversations and empowers workers to take responsibility for their health and wellbeing.
