Injury Prevention

Services

What we do

At Bodycare, we provide tailored onsite injury prevention services aimed at preventing workplace injuries, reducing lost time due to injury, lowering ACC costs, and improving overall productivity. Our services are divided into four specialised sections:

  • Injury Prevention Specialist

Do you want to reduce worker absenteeism and lost time to injury?

Our Injury Prevention Specialists catch minor issues early on before they become bigger problems, potentially leading to a more severe injury and extended time away from work.

Our team of Injury Prevention specialists provides customised onsite treatments that reduce pain and discomfort, helping workers recover quicker and speed up their return to work. By bringing our services directly to the workplace, we can integrate with your business, eliminate barriers to treatment, and create a seamless process between treatment and recovery.

  • Strength, Flexibility & Conditioning Programs

Do you want to prevent workplace injury?

Bodycare offers a range of programs designed for strength, flexibility, and overall physical conditioning for workers. By promoting physical well-being, we help to prevent common workplace injuries, reduce work-related health risks, and foster a culture of health and wellness within your organisation.

  • Injury Prevention Programs

Do you want to create a safer, more productive work environment?

Our Injury Prevention Programs assesses the risk of workplace injuries by analysing workers' movement patterns. These evaluations help identify potential issues before they turn into injuries, allowing us to recommend personalised preventative measures and exercises, and in turn creating a safer work environment.

Focus areas of this program are building risk registers, performing risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies, manual handling training, fatigue management & toolbox talks.

  • Injury Management Consulting

Do you want to go beyond treatment?

Our consulting services aim at more than just immediate treatment. We partner with businesses to create effective injury management strategies that reduce both the frequency and impact of workplace injuries. By educating your team on safe work practices and ergonomics, we help lower the risk of injuries, reducing downtime, and potentially saving your company significant costs.

Pre-employment

& Health Assessments

What we do

We specialise in evaluating potential and current workers to ensure that they can perform their job duties safely and effectively, while also preserving their overall health. Our comprehensive assessment services include:

  • Pre-employment Sceening

Our pre-employment screening aims to ensure that the right people are entering the right jobs. We conduct thorough assessments to determine a candidate's physical and mental fitness for the intended role. This not only helps in matching individuals to suitable positions but also minimises the risk of future workplace injuries.

  • Fitness for Duty Assessments

Our Fitness for Duty assessments objectively evaluate a worker's functional abilities to perform a range of physical demands associated with their job role. These assessments provide insights into whether a worker can safely undertake their responsibilities, particularly after an absence, injury, or illness.

  • Health Surveillance

A critical aspect of our services is regular health surveillance, which involves the ongoing monitoring of a worker's health to detect any adverse changes that may result from workplace exposure. This helps us identify potential health risks early and implement corrective measures promptly to prevent long-term health issues.

  • Periodic Assessments

We provide regular, periodic assessments to track changes in a worker's physical and mental health over time. These assessments offer valuable data to adjust personal health plans, guide interventions, and ensure that the workforce remains healthy and productive.

  • National Network

Our nationwide network comprises fully trained and certified physiotherapy professionals who are always ready to deliver exceptional service. No matter your location, our dedicated professionals are there to provide you with our full range of health assessment services.

Safety Consulting

& Training

What we do

The Bodycare team is dedicated to fostering safer workplaces by providing high-quality ergonomics assessments, implementing effective manual handling programs, conducting thorough job task analysis, creating comprehensive job dictionaries, and carrying out risk and workplace assessments. Our specialised services include:

  • Ergonomics

We conduct comprehensive ergonomic evaluations at workers' workstations to ensure optimal working postures and ergonomic work practices. Performed by our fully qualified physiotherapists, these assessments focus on observing the workspace and work practices to minimise physical strain and reduce the risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders.

  • Manual Handling Programs

Our manual handling programs are designed to cover a wide range of activities that involve using your body to move or handle an object. From unpacking boxes to working consistently on a computer, we equip workers with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their tasks safely and efficiently, reducing the risk of injuries.

  • Job Task Analysis

We undertake job task analyses to assess the inherent physical demands required by each task completed in a particular role. This helps in understanding the potential risks involved and informs the development of targeted prevention strategies.

  • Job Dictionaries

Our job dictionaries provide stakeholders with detailed information about specific job tasks, the physical demands each task places on the body, and the suitability of workers to undertake these tasks. This not only enhances transparency but also assists in designing safer work processes.

  • Risk & Workplace Assessments

We carry out in-depth risk and workplace assessments to identify manual handling risks in and around a workplace setting. By pinpointing areas of concern, we can recommend corrective actions to improve safety and minimise injury risk.
